Public speaking and presenting can fill people with terror. Preparing for a 20 minute presentation can cause so much anxiety that an inordinate time is spent in the lead up to it. Some are good presenters and don’t panic but want to know how to get even better. This workshop will help bust certain myths and give delegates a handy checklist to come across well prepared, be articulate, eradicate clutter from written content and not forget to make an impact with that vital point! A delegate workbook will be provided to help you work through the various exercises and there will be a summary of key tips to take away. This is a fun and interactive workshop, with break-out activities where you can work individually, in pairs or as teams.
- What makes a great presentation vs a rubbish one
- Your opening, closing and the middle bit
- The importance and balance of body language, voice and presentation content
- Tips to deal with presenter nerves
- In-person vs virtual presentations
- Practice and rehearsal makes perfect
