About this Event

Come, hang out with us and listen to some great writing in the unique surroundings of one of Soho’s most singular venues. This November’s special guest is Inkandescent’s Nathan Evans, previewing his new poetry collection.

Come and join us this November 5th for a special Below Stairs, our last before Christmas – featuring poets and writers including special guest Nathan Evans with a preview of his new collection, CNUT, which launches on November 7th later in the week.

Doors are at 7.30pm. The show starts at 8pm and no earlier. You can enjoy a drink in the bar from any time in the evening, so long as your name is on the guest list.

CNUT is launched at Gay’s the Word on 7th November and will be available in paperback and on Kindle

Nathan Evans is a writer, director and performer whose work has been funded by the Arts Council, toured with the British Council, archived in the British Film Institute and broadcast on Channel Four.

His poetry has been published by Dead Ink, Inky Needles, Poetry Space, Manchester Metropolitan University and performed at Polari, Jazz Verse Jukebox, Coffee-House Poetry, Hammer & Tongue, Bang Said the Gun. His shows have been presented at Soho Theatre, Latitude, Southbank Centre, Arcola, Wilton’s, Roundhouse, BAC, Little Angel, Hoxton Hall, Wonderground, Drill Hall, Pleasance, Royal Vauxhall Tavern, Royal Court, Chelsea Theatre, Contact, Leicester Square Theatre, Traverse, Glastonbury and Aldeburgh festivals.

His film screenings include Curzon, ICA, Flare, London Short Film Festival. He lives and works in London.
