GWN and Mishcon de Reya: Love Death & Taxes

GWN and Mishcon de Reya are hosting a panel event on Wednesday 23 October to discuss intimate image abuse in an LGBT+ context.

Intimate image abuse – or revenge porn as it commonly termed – is an increasingly serious issue within the gay community. The panel discussion will look at the main legal and reputational issues as well as avenues of support. It is part of an annual series, Love Death & Taxes, which covers legal issues impacting on LGBT+ individuals and their families.

Confirmed panellists include:

Professor Erika Rackley
(Co-author of Shattering Lives and Myths: A Report on Image-based Sexual Abuse)

Folami Prehaye
(Founder of VOIC, an organisation set up in support of victims of internet crime)

David Canham
(LGBTQ+ victim)

Moderator: Alexandra Whiston-Dew
(Managing Associate, Mishcon de Reya)

The event will take place at Mishcon de Reya’s headquarters, Africa House, 70 Kingsway, London WC2B 6AH, from 6 – 7:30pm, followed by a drinks reception.

If you would like to attend or for more information, please email grace.seely@mishcon.com.

With thanks to Mishcon De Reya for their support.
