It all began with being directed to the 15th floor at Pinsent Masons’ offices in the City. Gorgeous views over London, the rain had ceased and there were blue skies. Dee Tamlin from Pinsent Masons opened the event to welcome everyone and then we were off!
A packed 60-minute workshop with breakout sessions was upon us. We were put into three teams, assigned flip-charts to map out our SWOTS and asked to focus on our bank of strengths and seize opportunities. Great team work, laughter, scribbling in our workbooks and flip charts, buzzing around, all of us were working to the clock. There were impressive one-minute feedback pitches delivered by all of the three group leaders and applause.
Once the workshop came to a close, we went on to 90-mins of networking with hot-dogs, pizzas and wine, thank you Pinsent Masons! The event attendees were a diverse group: academics, doctors, corporate professionals, government, entrepreneurs etc.., from a variety of age groups. Some were starting out in their careers, while others had over 20 years of work experience. Several of our GWN committee members were present to talk to existing GWN members as well as newcomers.
Thanks to all who attended and thanks to Pinsent Masons for being a great sponsor.
Till next time!
